Common Problems
Monument uses its own facial recognition to automatically analyze your photos for people and group photos of the same person together.
Suggested Section: People (Facial Recognition)
However, not all of your photos may have people recognized due to the following reasons:
- Monument is still analyzing your uploaded content and the following message will appear at the top of Browse > People
- There are not at least 5 photos of the same person for a suggested group to be created in Browse > People > Add New Person
- Monument could not recognize a person due to a blurry photo, poor angle, glasses, etc.

Monument recognized very few people in my 2K+ picture file and of the ones recognized, only a few photos were tagged. How can I manually get Monument to rescan my pictures to improve the facial recognition results?
i have the same issue as Randy. need Monument to re-analyze everything. must I delete and start over?
Ok. I had to delete my harddrive import folder from Monument in order to jump start the system. It had stopped after 2K of 85K photos! I think it stopped after I VPNed into England. Now it is happily analyzing all the photos at about 13K per day and recognizing faces. I hope that Monument will enable rescan to look for faces AND allow the user to add/tag faces soon(?). After my 1st import was cut short, I was tot impressed that only a hundred faces were recognized but now it is going better.
PRO TIP: let the whole hard drive import and recognize faces BEFORE you start naming people. If you let it finish 1st, you will he able to approve dozens or hundreds of photos by scrolling but if you assign a name, you will only be able to approve 9 at a time... taking ages.

PRO TIP amendment. You can preview 24 facial matches before naming the person and 9 at a time after naming them. If you wait for the analyzation to finish, it will go faster.
Is there a way yet to have photos re-scanned? Noticing the facial recognition not picking up many photos, and particularly bad with people of color. Grouping many different black people together in the same bucket, not recognizing Asian folks in the photo at all...
