You mean that, I have to locate every single picture and video on my laptop and then drag them into the desktop app ? Is there a no simpler way ? Can't the Monument just search and copy all pictures and videos by itself ?
I have the same question. I've downloaded thousands of pictures from my Google Photos account, to backup to Monument. There must be an easier way than dragging every group of photos in individually. I can see dragging the root Pictures folder onto the app but not the contents of a few hundred sub-folders.
I'm new to Monument, but I, too, have thousands of photos on my computer--some are categorized by subject and others are still in dated folders. I'm wondering what's the most efficient way to move them to Monument, and what will happen in terms of archiving/labeling when they get there.
Let me tell you how I solved this issue. I just dragged the complete DESKTOP folder to Monument's add section. ( I keep all my pictures in various folders on desktop ) The Monument spent 15-20 mins analysing the files and then started copying them . You can do it with other folders too. Maybe you can just drag the "C" drive into Monument but I'm sure it will take days to analyze the files and then to copy them...
Thanks! Does it label or sort them in some way (different from how they were sorted on the computer)?
Yes, as far as I understand so far, it sorts them by date, by camera model, location etc. I find it easy finding photos by camera brands and people in it
