Monument Roadmap
Pinned PlannedHey all!
This roadmap shows all completed features and what we're currently working on.
If you have questions about a specific feature, please do not hesitate to ask :)

@KingPi
Yup! There was a slight delay but we are rolling it out today for Android.
Our iOS App has seen significant improvement and our Android App is now being heavily worked on! We are also going to shift our attention to the desktop app very soon and introduce new organization features as well.

Wow! Seems like in the next 2-3 months all my big wishes will be fulfilled. Even the iPad app is on the roadmap now. Awesome! :)
Edit: Nearly all! Remote backup is not on the roadmap anymore.

I would like to see a slideshow based on
- face
- tags
- dates
- combination of these all
so I can use monument as a modern picture frame.
instead of 1 picture of my partner (kids), a new picture every x time based on the selected criteria on that device.
i asked this before, I was told it was a very interesting feature yet it's not on the roadmap. -
@AntonZiegler
We're excited to finish and present the dedicated iPad app in a few months. The view on the iPad will no longer be presented in iPhone aspect ratio (it will be scaled to fit the screen of the iPad).
Remote backup (backing up to additional Monuments) is in our future roadmap, but there is no timeline for it.

@YvesHanoulle
Thank you for the feedback! Currently, if it's not on this roadmap, then it is not planned for the near future.
Only once we have made a decision and have made plans to develop a particular feature, will it show up in our roadmap.
However, features such as slideshow (although not shown on the roadmap) are still in our long-term plans. We keep an internal record of all feature requests, prioritize accordingly, and then add them to the public roadmap.

@Hunter
Please could you confirm ‘why’ backup to nas is no longer listed in the roadmap?
It was the second stretch goal in the Kickstarter and why I wanted the device (having lost 10 years of wife’s photos i am in he dog house and need the added security).
It also used to be in the roadmap with a date for expected completion.
It is inappropriate for you to just drop it off and decide you are not working on it. It is my opinion that something like the iPad app is less important especially considering iOS 12 is here so the iPhoneesque display is no longer iPhone 4 sized, and also it was not in the roadmap to begin with.
Please advise.
Regards

@Justin
That is an excellent question! This roadmap is only displaying what we have planned for the next few months. NAS integration is still in our plans, but it requires extensive development.
Unlike the iPad app (which our iOS developers can work on), NAS integration requires lengthy undivided attention of one of our other developers. However, that individual also has to work on firmware updates, bug fixes, and other key projects, which is why NAS development just isn't possible at present time.
We currently are a very small team (but growing) and once our team is ready, it will be added to our public roadmap for everyone to follow!
