We completely agree with you! This feature should have already been available. I am including it in our product roadmap and I am going to publish a more detailed/thorough version in the coming week :)

@ Anton; what the status of this feature in development roadmap?
I’m running latest available App version 2.16.3 but videos can’t be played in TV.

    Any news about this?

Playing videos on the TV, per HDMI or Chromecast should work in general and with a good performance.

First of all, I love my Monument! So happy to have the automatic backup and such easy access to all my photos and videos. I am wondering if there is a timeline on when we will be able to chromecast videos to the tv. I love doing the slideshows, but am sad everytime the blank screen shows up when I should be seeing a video. Thank you for all your work on this!

What is the progress on this issue? Still no video via Chromecast?

Is there any solution displaying 16:9 videos without seeing tall people and long faces?
