You could move them to an SD card and then import from there. This is how I did it.

Thanks, I wish I could find an SD card with that kind of a capacity...100K photos will take about 500 GB. I have attached my 1TB hard drive but Monument is taking way too long, its been 20 days and its still adding....My original question was, if I can imoprt my "photo folder" to the "monument folder" on my hard drive directly and will that bypass the app in analysing and adding photos and if that will make the process any quicker?

I've just remembered that what you are asking for is possible...With a caveat.

I can't double-check right now as i'm not at home and my remote access isn't working. But I think if you go into the USB drives section in the settings menu (I'm using the iOS app) then you can choose a local folder on your device to import (can't remember the word it uses).

The one caveat that I know of is that (when I tried this features a while ago) it doesn't copy your photos to the monument file structure on the disk, it leaves them where they are and just indexes them. My files were a mess so this wasn't good for me but hopefully it helps you!

Thats what I did, its importing from my local folder. That indexing is taking so long. I made a mistake and I hit "forget local folder" when it was very close to finishing the "import/indexing" and it has started again and I still may have 20 more days to go, as I have so many photos. I was wondering if I can drag and drop my local folder inside the monument folder but its not letting me! Looks like "no permission" to add manually? Is there a way to drag and drop my personal local folder into the Monument folder on my HD? and try to hasten the process?

    Thanks

In that case.... best get comfy.....

There are many things that monument haven't cracked and it seems that bulk upload is one of them...

True and if you "forget" a folder from your app, it's gone from Monument folder and all users rigth away adn on your HD even if the other users did not hit "forger folder" and will have to index all over again if you re join so be very careful. The only sabving grace is that your original folder stays unaltered.

I am also not a fan of the Mac OS desktop software. I hope they upgrade it with more features very soon.

It would also be great to have some sort of indicator as to it’s progress please?
