Hi there! Thanks for the post.

    • If you have just a single hard drive connected, then it's likely your hard drive is faulty.

    Hi hunter

ive purchased a powered hub. Just to check, do I put both drives on the hub or just the one.

i still want one drive to be the backup of the first.

    thanks

Please connect the powered USB hub to one USB port on Monument.

Then connect only one hard drive to it (preferably the backup drive).

You can view which drive (primary or backup) is connected to which USB port by going to Settings --> USB Drives.

The photo of each drive will have a number on it corresponding to the USB port it's connected to.

    Thank you

    All is working well now.

You must consider this when designing Monument v2.

A powered unit with two USB ports should really be able to run the two drives you designed to fit in the casing.

Also USB 3 is a must.

thanks for the help and keep up the good work.

Same problem from me. Although I have hard 2 hard drives connected from purchase. It has only just started happening.

connecting one Hard Drive to a Powerdrive USB has worked. However, it seems a waste of money as I know have 6 other powered USB hubs I cannot use.
