Can't get iPad to download photos - what am i doing wrong?

Greetings,

I have a new Monument

I have been able to set up my iPhone with the app and Monument has downloaded all the photos on my phone. That is the successful part of my day.

The unsuccessful part has been trying to do the same thing with my iPad. I seem to be trapped in circle; that is, when I open the app I get a small message window saying " Monument app needs to be updated to use the latest features. Update Now." When I press Update Now, however, it takes me to the app store where I get a large window open with Monument Photo Management, Monument Labs, Inc at the top but there is only an "OPEN" button - no update button. If I press OPEN, it just takes me back where I started with the little window "Monument app need to be updated..." What am I doing wrong?
