This feature request is very important due to future recognition of people/events

Agree, especially I would like to be able to edit the file name as the file name already is search-able. Also I would like the program to be better at recognizing faces. Especially people with beards or caps are causing troubles.

Great suggestion. Would love just to be able to capture some notes about a photo

I was thinking something along these lines as well... but maybe take it one step further. What if we could create a basic sort of "social media" post within Monument that is a photo and a caption / description. Super simple, nothing too involved. I'm imagining it being one of the options in the sidebar along with Photos, Albums, People, etc. This would highlight specific images (beyond favoriting it), and allow for more interesting "memories" from a year ago, two years ago, etc, with context!

One of my favorite parts about Monument is it's ability to provide what the cloud providers do, but locally, owning my data. Right now it checks most of the boxes, but it would be nice to be able to highlight a few images each day and make a note about that image. It would be such a fun archive to go back through over the years that IS NOT facebook / instagram / twitter / etc.
